Listening to the Radio
Listening to the Radio
In addition to television channels, you can also receive a number of radio channels with
your set-top box, which broadcast their programme in digital quality via satellite.
Note
: Radio channels are not yet available in all broadcast areas.
The same functions, apart from a few exceptions, are available to you in radio mode as
in TV mode. This is especially true also for the topics of recording and playback as well
as timeshift and trickmode.
Operation is also similar. Please note the following exceptions:
u
In radio mode you see a blue background.
u
Teletext is not broadcast by radio channels.
Using the Device Buttons
You can listen to the radio with your set-top box without leaving the television on: If
your set-top box is connected, for example, to a stereo system and this is switched on,
you can operate radio mode alternately with the remote control or directly with the but-
tons on the set-top box. The set-top box display supports you when selecting the desired
channel:
Note:
The functions described here are also valid in TV mode. Your set-top box can still
be operated with the device buttons even if, for example, the batteries on your remote
control are flat (see "Display and Device Buttons" on page 8).
