Recording
Recording Programmes Spontaneously
While a programme is running you decide to record it.
Programming a Recording
Your set-top box starts programmed recordings automatically, even from standby
mode. Programmed recordings are only executed on time and fully if the time is set cor-
rectly. Check the relevant settings for your set-top box before you programme a new
recording (see "Time" on page 64).
Single and multiple recordings can be programmed alternately with the assistance of
the EPG (
EPG recording
) or by entering the desired transmission time directly as a timer
(
timer recording
). Adjust the relevant settings as required in the
Recording
pop-up
window, see "Settings in the Recording Pop-Up Window" on page 49.
All programmed recordings are entered as a timer in the
TV
>
Timer
menu
(or
Radio
>
Timer
) and can be managed there.
Programming an EPG Recording

Start a spontaneous recording.
The recording begins immediately; the recording icon is displayed in the
upper right corner of the screen for a few seconds.
You can call up the
Stop recording
menu with the
S
button in order
to stop the recording or change the recording duration (see "Changing an
Ongoing Recording" on page 48).

Open the EPG.

Choose the programme you would like to record (see "Operating the EPG"
on page 38).

Open
the
Recording
pop-up window.

You can change the settings in the
Repeat:

Save:
and
Protection
areas.

Confirm your settings in order to activate this EPG recording.
The relevant EPG entry is flagged appropriately (see "Opening the EPG"
on page 38).
