the Test tab.

Select the device with poor signal strength from the drop-down list.

the Test button.

The test results display in the window.

The results indicate how many pings passed and how many failed.
⇨
The Received Signal Strength (RSSI) displays the results.
8. If the test fails, repeat the test.

If a device doesn’t pass after several tests, the device is not connected.

Reset the device and verify that it is operating properly.

Try decommissioning and reconfiguring the device. See

If the signal strength does not improve after completing all the steps in this
procedure, contact the Siemens Technical Support 1-800-877-7545 (Dial 2).
NOTE: Devices are delivered from the factory with the latest firmware, so an
upgrade in the field should not be necessary. If you think that the EcoView
Meter or EcoView 8DO Module has old firmware and you need to do a field
upgrade, set the Network Status to Closed prior to attempting the upgrade
(Config
→
Advanced
→
Network Status). Due to the size of the firmware, it may
take several attempts to successfully complete. Once Upgrade is selected you
MUST continue to attempt the upgrade until it completes successfully.
Otherwise, the device will be rendered inoperable as there is not sufficient RAM
to retain both old and new firmware during the upgrade process.
