Inserting the batteries

WARNING

Short-circuit as a result of incorrectly inserting batteries
Warming of batteries and risk of fire

●

When inserting battery, note polarity.

Insert the batteries in the devices just before commissioning the fire detection

installation.

The radio smoke detector DOW1171 is installed on the base DBW1171.

1. Remove the radio smoke detector DOW1171 from the radio base DBW1171.
2.

WARNING! Device does not work! Only use the battery type intended for

the device!

3. Connect clip to 9 V lithium manganese dioxide battery contacts and insert

battery in back box's battery compartment.
– Repeat this step for the second battery.

4. Install the radio smoke detector in the base.

The radio smoke detector is ready for commissioning.
