Table 133: PNA2007-A1 Ethernet single wire connectors - 'CN2' and 'CN4'
● CN1 and CN2 are used to connect the incoming CAT5 copper Ethernet wiring.
● CN3 and CN4 are used to connect the outgoing wiring.
● J1 and J2 are pre-installed to connect to the repeater board.
In case the CAT5 cables come with RJ45 connectors, the cables can be connected
directly to the 2 free RJ45 sockets on the repeater board.
7.11 Automatic volume control (AVC)
The Automatic Volume Control (AVC) function is used to adapt the volume of a
speaker line to the environmental noise. If the noise gets higher the volume will be
increased. The goal is that the played messages can be recognized in all
environmental noise situations. The message should be not too loud when the
noise level is low and could be still heard with a high noise level.
The Cerberus PACE modular system provides 2 components for the Automatic
volume control (AVC) function:
● 'Automated volume control microphone', PCA2007-A1
● 'Automated volume control module', PCA2008-A1
