Signal plug
for the encoder system and temperature sensor.
- Use an appropriate plug.
- Assign the plugs according to figure Fig. 9.

Brakes
- Connect the brake via a power connector (Fig. 7) or a terminal box (Fig. 8).

Closed current holding brake
: The higher-level control system must release the brake
when the motor is switched on.
Forced ventilation
- Connection to the terminal block in the terminal box of the fan unit
- Connect the PE conductor
- Check the direction of rotation of the forced ventilation unit at the air inlet of the blower
housing.
Take note of the directional arrow on the blower housing.
External earth connection
- Motors with a rated output greater than 100 kW must be earthed via the additional
M12 earthing screw on the non-drive end shield.
- Use cable lug as per DIN 46234.

Initial Start up
CAUTION
Thermal hazard from hot surfaces!
The surface temperatures of the motors may exceed 140 °C (284 °F).
Do not touch hot surfaces!
Protection must be provided against accidental contact if necessary.
Temperature-sensitive components (electric lines, electronic
components) must not touch hot surfaces.
