You can also change the beam coding later. You do not need to reset the protective
device to the factory settings to do this.
If code 1 or code 2 is configured, the beam coding DIP switches do not need to be con‐
sidered during the parity test.

Configuring muting
Overview
Muting is configured using the DIP switches 1, 2 and 4 (row A) on the active unit.
Depending on arrangement of the muting sensors, cross-muting or exit monitoring can
be configured and the protective effect of the multiple light beam safety device can be
temporarily bypassed. A muting signal can be moved from the extension connection to
the system connection.
