Cleaning, servicing, and care
Important information: before any cleaning or maintenance work the power to the
system must be switched off (press heating emergency switch). Clean only when the boiler is
cold and the ash cool - danger of injury!
12.1
Cleaning and care
Ash and soot accumulate when solid fuel is burnt, which means that periodic cleaning and servicing is
necessary. Without these measures there is a likelihood that malfunctions will occur for which we
accept no liability.
Only a clean and correctly adjusted boiler is an efficient boiler. A coating of only 1 mm of dust on the
heat exchanger surfaces increases the fuel consumption by approx. 7%.
The necessity for more or less frequent cleaning depends on the operating time, the boiler output and
the fuel quality. Wood and wood pellets contain non-combustible components (minerals) that result in
the generation of ash.
Until you are familiar with the system and the fuel, you should carry out inspections at regular
intervals.
Cleaning the heat exchanger
The thermodual 30/40 has an automatic heat exchanger cleaning system, which periodically cleans the
heat exchanger. The thermodual TDA 15/25 heat exchanger has to be cleaned manually with the
cleaning lever.
12.2
Ash disposal and cleaning of combustion chamber
Interval every 3 to 5 weeks:

Set home screen to "OFF"
push the button
("OFF appears). Wait until "Stopping" is finished ( ////\\\\ appears).
After the report "Clean boiler" displayed:
Push button
in the display of the report "Clean boiler". If home screen is not set to "OFF", push
button
additionally.
By pushing the button
, the operation stops.

Actuate cleaning lever (only at TDA 15/25)
Bob the cleaning lever quickly for at least 10 times and püut in horizontal position afterwards. Repeat
this procedure in pellets operation every week and in log operation with every refill.
