Installation/removal of shaft-mounted gear units with shrink disc
Installation notes
•
Do not tighten locking screws unless shaft is installed - hollow shaft could be
deformed!
1. Thoroughly remove grease from hollow
shaft bore and drive shaft.
2. Degreased hollow shaft/drive shaft

fluid in the bushing area
onto the input shaft

4. Install shaft, making sure that the
locking collars of the shrink disc are
evenly spaced

The clamping area of the shrink disc must always be kept free from grease!
Therefore, never apply NOCO
®
fluid directly onto the bushing, since the paste can
enter the clamping area of the shrink disc when installing the input shaft.
2)
After installation, grease the outer surface of the hollow shaft in the shrink disc area to
protect the shaft against corrision.
