Electrical System
vating the main breakers with the AC accessories
activated could cause the main breakers to trip.
To avoid this surge, always make the accessory
circuits are OFF before activating the main AC
breakers. An automatic lockout system senses
faults in the system and shuts the main break-
ers off if a fault occurs. The lockout system also
prevents the generator and shore power circuits
from activating simultaneously.
Care must be taken when operating the AC system
from the generator or the shore power supply line.
In some situations it may be possible to overload
the generator or shore power circuit if too many
AC accessory breakers are activated. Too much
amperage being supplied through the panel will
cause the main breakers to trip and could damage
the system. This is particularly important when
operating the air conditioner, water heater, electric
grill and other optional accessories that may be on
your boat that draw high amperage. You should
always be aware of the electrical load needed to
activate accessories and manage the amperage
being supplied so the load can be kept within safe
limits. If you have any questions about managing
the power in your boat, contact your authorized
Scout dealer.
Network Status/Reverse Polarity Lights
The red Reversed Polarity and Fault lights in the
network status panel and on the CZone display in-
dicate that reversed polarity current is being sup-
plied to the distribution panel or there is a fault.
This situation will cause the red lights to remain
lit. Additionally, the CZone safety lockout system
will automatically turn the main breakers OFF. If
reverse polarity or an electrical fault is achieved,
make sure all AC accessory circuit breakers and
the distribution panel Shore Power main breakers
are OFF. Then turn OFF the shore power inlet and
dockside outlet breakers. Disconnect the power
cable from the dockside outlet and notify a quali-
fied electrician to check the dockside wiring.
Green, Power available lights on the status panel
indicate the polarity is correct, there are no de-
tected faults and it is safe to activate the main
breakers and AC accessories.
ACOI-01/AC0I-2 Network Switches and
Status Lights
The network switches that activate AC accessory
circuits using the CZone control feature and the
network status LED lights are in these panels. A
green Light below the switch number indicates
the circuit is activated and operating properly. A
red light indicates a fault has been detected in an
activated circuit. Network status lights monitor
network activity.
A manual override allows each circuit switch to
activated manually in the event of a malfunction in
the network or switch. Refer to the Scout CZone
operation manual for additional information on
the AC digital switching system.

Air Conditioner
Supplies electrical current to the air conditioner
compressor and control panel located in the cabin.
Notice:
After a certain amount of time without water
flow, the air conditioning unit will automati
-
cally power down. If this occurs, reset the
unit and check for water flow out of the air
conditioner thru-hull fitting. See air condi
-
tioner owner’s manual for more information.
Microwave
Supplies 120 volt AC electrical current to the cabin
ground fault interrupter (GFI) electrical outlet that
activates the Microwave.
Battery Charger 1/Battery Charger 2
Supplies electrical current directly to the auto-
matic battery chargers. Battery charger 1 charges
the port engine, port center engine and the house
batteries. Battery charger 2 charges the star-
board engine, starboard center engine and the
house battery. If your boat is equipped with an
optional bow thruster, the bow thruster battery is
paralleled with the starboard engine battery and
will be charged with the starboard engine battery.
Each battery charger will charge and maintain the
batteries simultaneously when activated. They are
fully automatic.
The wires that supply DC charging current to
the batteries are protected by an internal fuse in
the battery charger and circuit breakers, one for
each battery output wire, located in the battery
switch panel. The external circuit breakers protect
the DC charging circuit from the batteries to the
charger. The internal fuses in the charger protect
the DC charging circuit from the charger to the
batteries. If one of the circuit breakers is tripped
by an overload, reset the breaker by pressing the
