Electrical System

6.8 Cabin DC Breaker Panel

DC Power is distributed to the CZone networks and

other 12 volt circuits through individual “push to

rest” circuit breakers located in the cabin DC panel.

Main circuit breakers in the battery switch panel,

located in the electrical systems room, protect the

CZone output modules from an overload. Some

12 volt accessories are operated directly by the

circuit breaker in the DC panel. Switches fed by

the panel breakers or digital switches in the CZone

switch panels activate other accessories.

Digital volt meters in the panel continuously moni-

tor DC voltage level in the engine and house bat-

teries. Battery voltage can also be monitored using

the monitoring function in the CZone system. Refer

to the Scout CZone operation manual for instruc-

tions to navigate to the battery monitoring screen

and selecting the battery to be monitored.

Proper fuse or breaker protection must be pro-

vided for all 12 volt equipment added. Do not

overload the accessory circuit breakers or other

circuitry through additional 12 volt equipment.

The following is a description of the acces-

sories controlled by switches and circuit

breakers in the cabin DC panel:

Battery and Parallel Switches

These switches activate the motorized battery and

parallel switches for the engines and House circuits.

An LED light in each switch glows when the battery

or parallel switch it controls is on. The light may

not turn off immediately or will slowly fade out

when the switches are turned off.

Generator Switch

Starts and stops the generator through the CZone

control system. Press the switch once to start the

generator. Press the switch again to shutdown the

generator. The LED light in the switch glows when

the generator is running.

The generator can also be controlled by the CZone

control feature or a control panel on the genera-

tor. The generator DC circuits are powered by the

house battery.
