unplug the saw before removing or
installing the blade guard, spreader, or
riving knife .

When the blade guard is not in use, storage
places are provided in the accessory drawer
for the blade guard, anti-kickback pawls,
spreader, miter gauge and riving knife.

Leave pawls down to reduce likelihood of
kickback. If you need to remove pawls, first
remove guard, and then pull pawls back, up
(1A) and forward to remove (1B). Store pawls
in storage drawer (
see page 23 ). To install
pawls, reverse process.
