Machining cut-outs
Figure 102: Milling tool, also suitable for cut-
outs
Before starting the work, the cut-out is drawn
on the workpiece.
The Y-axis and the X-axis are moved before
processing and limited by the continuously ad-
justable stops. Consider the diameter of the bit
used.
In one corner of the cut-out work is started:
A bit has been selected which enables also
drilling. This means that the cut-out must not
have a hole for starting machining.
Figure 103: Machined cut-out
Machining takes place clockwise.
After immersion of the cutter, for example at
the top left corner, it is clamped in its depth.
While the cut-out is being machined along the
X-axis, the Y-axis is clamped. Accordingly, the
X-axis is clamped when the Y-axis is machined.

Extended applications with the hole matrix of the SlabMatrix Pro 1.0
The hole distance of the hole matrix is 32 mm, which is the standard distance for example from
rows of holes from cabinet sides for fixing shelves.
With this screening, any number of holes can be produced with very high repeatability.
Long holes and grooves can be repeated as often as desired with the same distance.
This also applies to any cut-outs that can be produced.

Using of the Mafell Duodübler DDF 40 and DD 40 P
If the Mafell Duodübler DDF 40 or DD 40 P are to be used, it must be connected to the adapter
plate type OF 100.
