Principles of machining
Always adhere to the specified maximum dimensions of the router bit used. Pay particular attention
to the information given in the operating instructions of the router.
Carry out all adjustment work with the router switched off. The exception is adjusting the spindle
speed of the router. This can also be adjusted when the router is switched on.
Before starting the machining, connect the dust extractor.
Select a suitable router speed depending on the diameter of the bit, the cutting material and the
material of the workpiece. Follow the instructions given in the routers operating manual.

inner edges
Note: The feed movements in the direction of the blue arrows or the red arrow are carried out by
the router bit
The following rules apply for the correct routing direction:
1. Outer edges are machined counter-clockwise with the router.
2. Inner edges are machined clockwise with the router.
Carry out the feed movement smoothly, considering the selected depth of cut and the selected ma-
terial of the workpiece. A too fast feed movement could overload the routing and drilling device as
well as the router bit. The quality of the work could also suffer. A feed movement that is too slow
can cause burn marks on the workpiece.
Immediately after machining, switch off the router and wait for the bit to come to a standstill.
Even unintentional contact with the rotating router bit can lead to serious injuries.
