At normal focus, the effective flash range is 0.5 to 3.9 meters (widest lens
setting) and 0.5 to 2.3 meters (telephoto lens setting). At macro focus, the
effective flash range is 0.15 to 0.5 meters (widest lens setting) and 0.25 to
0.5 meters (telephoto lens setting).

In the automatic flash mode using the LCD monitor, when the shutter
release button is depressed halfway, a

right area of the LCD monitor indicates that the flash will operate.
