Turning the power off

1

Press the power button.

œ

The power turns off and the LCD monitor turns
off. If the lens was extended, it automatically
retracts and closes.

Turning the power on when the power save
function is active

In order to save the battery power, the power save function will automatically
turn off the power after one minute of no use during shooting, or five minutes
of no use during playback.

Press the MODE button, the power button or the shutter release
button once.

When using the separately sold AC adapter (model VAR-G4EX/G4AEX for
the VPC-MZ2EX, model VAR-G4E/G4AE for the VPC-MZ2EX (for U.K.)
and model VAR-G4U/G4AU for the VPC-MZ2), the power save function will
become active after about 30 minutes of inactivity.

If the camera is connected to a personal computer while set to the PC
connection mode, the power save function is disabled.

œ

When the power save function has been active for 15 minutes, the lens
automatically retracts and closes.
