4 Connecting

 

Power Backup Line   

If AC power fails while battery is not connected, connect a power backup circuit by 
connecting C.O. lines to extensions. 
As shown in the figure below, a pair of C.O. lines should be connected to pin 1 and 

pin 2 of the first port of the 16SLI or the 8SLI. If a power failure occurs, the relay 
function of the SLI enables emergency calls by directly connecting the C.O. lines to 
the telephone.
