Arrangements
Continuous
flushing
Diameter of orifice or
flushing disc underval-
ued, filter insert contami-
nated
Verify the dimensioning, because
the diameter has effects on the
back flushing quantity and thus on
the cleaning behaviour. If the op-
erating parameters do not agree
with the data specified for design,
the geometry of the flushing disc
(Fig. 9-1 resp. Fig. 9-3 / 3) and the
orifice (Fig. 9-1 resp. Fig. 9-3 / 5)
possibly has to be arranged.
Bad cleaning ac-
tion
The current time of the
cylinder-piston is not set
correctly (current time
undervalued)
Check current time length in ac-
cordance with chapter 4.6 and set
correctly if necessary (see Table
4-1)
Back flushing line mislaid The back flushing line (Fig. 9-1
resp. Fig. 9-3 / 4) should be laid
pressure-free. Each pressure loss
is to be considered during the de-
sign of the orifice (Fig. 9-1 resp.
Fig. 9-3 / 5), because the back-
pressure has effects on the back
flushing quantity and therefore on
the cleaning behaviour. Possibly
the orifice diameter must be in-
creased.
Failure of control system Possibly the current supply failed,
whereby the cleaning did not take
place in the regular interval.
Remove filter insert and clean it
with high pressure cleaner.
Differential pressure
switch defective
See "continuous flushing" in this
table.
Actual operating pa-
rameters (characteristic
line of pump, flow rate,
pressure etc.) have
changed
Let check the geometry of flushing
disc/orifice (Fig. 9-1 resp. Fig. 9-3 /
3+5) by the manufacturer, let
change if necessary.
Option
Sensor error
Differential pressure
transmitter signal outside
of nominal range (4
– 20
mA)
Check wire lead for break or short-
circuit. Check sensor and resp.
switch on.
