Stroke error
The orifice is damaged
too much and/or the ef-
fective operating param-
eters are not the same
as those which have
been designed by di-
mensioning.
Check orifice for dimensional ac-
curacy and operating parameters.
The diameter of the orifice is com-
puted by SAB on the basis of
throughput in m³/h and the pump
characteristic.
Proximity switch defec-
tive/wrongly wired
Check proximity switches for func-
tion. Light emitting diodes (Fig. 9-1
resp. Fig. 9-3 / 3c, 3d) must indi-
cate the beginning and final posi-
tion of the piston when reaching.
Check wiring in accordance with
clamp allocation (see appendix
„Filter control F450").
In case of wrong polarity of the
light emitting diodes of the proximi-
ty switches on the pneumatic cyl-
inder they don´t act.
Compressed air hoses at
the cylinder are trans-
posed
Check compressed air hoses for
correct connection
Solenoid valves defec-
tive
Check function of the solenoid
valves SV1, SV2 (see chapter 9
„Illustrations“) and exchange if
necessary.
Sound absorber in the
solenoid valve is blocked
Dismount sound absorber and
clean it, if necessary exchange it.
Pressure im-
pacts in the
flushing pipe
During run of the flushing pipe
(Fig. 9-1 resp. Fig. 9-3 / 4) with
downward gradient it is to be made
certain that the pipes do not drain.
The opening velocity of the flush-
ing valve is to be reduced gradual-
ly.
Continuous
flushing
Flushing valve does not

Check throttle valves and open if
necessary.
Check compressed air hoses for
correct connection in accordance
with diagram of "air and water
connections"

Running time of the
pneumatic actuator is not
correctly set (running
time too short)
Check run time length in accord-
ance with chapter 4.6 (see Table
4-1) and set correctly if necessary.
Clean filter insert with high pres-
sure cleaner.
