Use Device Descriptions in the Device Catalog
Use Device Descriptions in the Device Catalog
Sometimes it is easier to recognize a unique name for a device, rather than its IP Address. You can configure RVONedit to
show device descriptions (where available) in the device catalog.
To enable device descriptions in the device catalog, do the following:
1.
From the Edit menu, select Preferences . or click the preferences icon .
The Preferences dialog appears .

Click the Catalogs tab.
The Catalog page appears .
3.
Select the Use description instead of IP address if available checkbox.
4.
Click OK .
