When your e-MTB is handed over to you, it is ready
to use. Every bike requires care and maintenance.
This is essential in order to make sure that your
ROTWILD e-MTB functions correctly and is safe
to ride.
NOTICE
After the first 5 to 15 hours or 100 to
300 kilometres your e-MTB must have its first
service. During this time the cables can stretch
and gear changes may become slightly less
accurate.
NOTICE
After the running-in period you should have
your e-MTB checked at regular intervals by
a ROTWILD authorised dealer.
The length of the maintenance intervals will
vary depending on the type of area you ride in
and the weather conditions.

Unprofessional servicing and repairs.
Servicing
and repairs should be carried out by experts.
Specialist knowledge and special tools are
needed.
Maintenance work and adjustments that are
carried out incorrectly can lead to the failure
of components of your ROTWILD e-MTB.
Only take on tasks yourself if you have the
necessary knowledge and tools, for example
a torque wrench.
You should have your ROTWILD e-MTB cleaned
thoroughly twice a year, preferably as part of
regular servicing, by your ROTWILD authorised
dealer.
Cleaning
It is important to protect your bike against
environmental influences such as dirt, sweat,
road salt in winter and salty air. Clean your
ROTWILD e-MTB with a damp cloth.
You can add a little detergent to the water.
Afterwards protect your ROTWILD e-MTB with
polish.
WARNING
Always check that there are no cleaning products
or lubricants on the friction surfaces of the brake
system.
CAUTION
The electric drive system is only protected
against splashes of water. You must never clean
your e-MTB with a pressure washer, a hose or
compressed air. This can cause a short circuit,
malfunction, fire or explosion.
