Installing the IPU
Follow these instructions to install the drive
battery:
Push the front end of the drive battery into the
slot.
Once the battery is engaged in the upper holder,
push the battery fastener down with one hand
and swing the drive battery into the down tube
with the other hand. Let go of the battery fastener
so that it can engage with its respective
counterpart on the drive battery.
NOTICE
Always use one hand to stop the drive battery
from falling out during the installation
procedure.
NOTICE
Check that the drive battery has clicked into the
battery fastener.

Finally, secure the drive battery in the down tube
using the locking pin. To do so, push the battery
fastener upwards slightly and insert the locking
pin into the opening provided for this purpose.

WARNING
If the locking pin is not positioned correctly, it can
come loose while you are riding your bike and
cause the drive battery to fall out. This could
cause a crash or an accident.
Always check that the drive battery is secured in
the down tube with the locking pin before riding
your bike.
NOTICE
Check whether the drive battery is connected to
the drive system by switching on the display.
Adjusting the tension on the drive
battery
The drive battery is fixed securely in the down
tube and the locking pin can be inserted and
removed by hand.
As such, it is necessary to adjust the tension on
the drive battery if one of the following situations
occur.
