Your ROTWILD e-MTB is fitted with a suspension
fork to make riding on different types of terrain as
comfortable and safe as possible. This
significantly reduces the impact on yourwrist
joints caused by uneven surfaces and makes your
bike noticeably easier to control on rough tracks
and difficult terrain.
Adjusting the suspension fork
The ROTWILD authorised dealer will check the
factory setting of the suspension and adjust it to
the rider’s weight, if necessary. The spring pre-
load can be adjusted to the rider’s weight using
an air valve on top of the left fork leg.
NOTICE
The damping must be adjusted when the
suspension fork is in OPEN mode.
The suspension fork is correctly adjusted if it is
compressed by 20% of the total suspension
travel when you are sitting on the bike.
The seal on the right-hand fork leg will help you
to measure the suspension travel.

You will find the recommended air pressures in
the instruction manual provided by the fork
manufacturer. You will also find detailed
information about adjusting the spring stiffness/
softness.
Please check the parts list for your model to see
which type of fork it is fitted with.
NOTICE
A special air pump must be used for the
suspension forks and shock. A conventional air
pump is not sensitive enough to adjust the
pressure.
NOTICE
If you ride with too much air pressure or no air
pressure in the fork, this will cause damage.
We recommend asking your ROTWILD authorised
dealer to show you how to adjust the fork
pressure.
Shock compression damping
You can adjust the fork compression damping
using the blue lever on the right-hand fork leg.
By turning the lever clockwise you make the forks
stiffer (FIRM). Turning it anticlockwise makes the
forks softer (OPEN). In the MEDIUM position, the
shock is neither very stiff nor very soft.
There are different levels of adjustment
depending on the fork model.
Please check the parts list for your model to see
which type of fork it is fitted with.
