Wear parts excluded from the warranty
Wear does not constitute a manufacturing defect.
Worn components or adjustments that have
changed as a result of wear are not covered
by the warranty. These include:
- Brake pad wear
- Tyre wear
- Rim wear
- Adjustment of the brake cable
- Adjustment of the dérailleur cable
- Adjustment of the spokes
- Noises made by the e-MTB*
*The noise your e-MTB makes may change over time and
under different loads.
Normal wear and tear
Some components of your ROTWILD e-MTB are
subject to normal wear and tear.
This sort of wear and tear is not covered by the
warranty or by the legal liability for defects.
The extent of the wear depends on the care,
maintenance and type of use of the e-MTB
(distance travelled, use in the rain, dirt,
salt etc.).
e-MTBs that are often left outside will be subject
to greater wear and tear because of the effects of
the weather. This applies particularly near the
sea where the air is salty.
Wear parts need regular maintenance and care.
However, depending on the level of use and the
conditions, they will sooner or later reach the end
of their life span.
When these parts reach their wear limit, they
must be replaced. This applies in particular to
the following parts:
Drive chain/belt/battery, sprocket cassette, chain
rings and belt pulleys, electric motor, handlebar
grips, rear dérailleur, dérailleur cables,
handlebars and stem, seat post and saddle,
brake pads and discs, wheels including tyres
and inner tubes, brake cables.
Brake pads
The pads used in disc brakes systems will wear
with use. If the bike is ridden fast or in hilly
terrain, the pads may need to be changed
frequently.
Check the condition of the pads regularly and,
if necessary, have them replaced by your
ROTWILD authorised dealer.
WARNING
Riding a bike with worn parts is dangerous and
can lead to accidents.
In addition, the use of
a worn part can cause damage to other
components of the bike.
Have your bike serviced and maintained at the
intervals specified in the instruction manuals
provided by the component manufacturers.
