4-5 LINEAR ENCODER SETUP (Referential Time : 5min.)

This is for checking the reading of the linear encoder and for calibrating its expansion/contraction caused by the op-
eration environment. This operation is required when Limit Sensor, Encoder Scale or Encoder Module is replaced or
the position is adjusted.

Make sure to unload the media.
Lower the Pinch Rollers.
Also, be sure to remove the Media Clamps.

Select [PRINT MENU]>[LINEAR ENCODER], and press [EN-
TER] key.

Turn on the Sub Power SW while pressing [ ], [ ] and
[ ] keys to enter the Service Mode.
