Chapter 7          Configure the Armor PowerFlex Drive

Configure Scaling

The scaling page lets you configure the position and time to be used in terms of 
counts per position unit (defined by the user) in the safe monitoring functions. 
It defines “Actual Speed” and “Actual Position” that is used to match the 
velocity controller.

Select Scaling and enter the safety scaling attributes per the following table.

Attribute

Description

Effective Resolution

The number of counts per motor revolution, which is determined by the Primary 
Feedback category.

Position Units

The position units for this safety application. Enter text for the name of your units.

Time Units

The evaluation of position per unit of time for a velocity evaluation. Choose between 
Seconds (default) and Minutes, as appropriate for your application.

Position Scaling

The conversion constant showing the counts per position units. This is the number of 
counts for one of your position units.
