8 .11 Outside Combustion Air Supply
IMPORTANT: If the b u ilding has a slight negati v e
press u re or corrosi v e contaminants s u ch as
halogenated hydrocarbons are present in the air, an
o
u tside comb u stion air s u pply to the heater is
req u ired. Seal all comb u stion air pipe joints.
The air s u pply d u ct may ha v e to be ins u lated to
pre v ent condensation on the o u ter s u rface. The
o u tside air terminal m u st not be more than 1' (31 cm)
abo v e the v ent terminal.
Use of optional o u tside comb u stion air is not
recommended w ith u n v ented heaters.
