Dear customer,
Congratulations on your choice of the Duo-Power 8S EQ high-performance computer
battery charger from the robbe range. You are now the owner of a compact charger with
integral battery management and equalizer, for use with 30 V AC or 1 V DC.
The unit is simple to use, but the operation of a sophisticated automatic charger such as
the Duo-Power 8S EQ does require some knowledge on the part of the user. These oper-
ating instructions are designed to ensure that you quickly become familiar with its facili-
ties.
It is therefore important that you read right through these Operating Instructions - the sec-
tion entitled “A brief guide to battery types” in particular - and the Safety Notes, before
you attempt to use your new automatic charger for the first time.
We hope you enjoy using your battery charger and have great success with it.
Safety Notes
At the end of these operating instructions you will find comprehensive safety notes
regarding the handling of battery chargers and the various types of battery now in
common use.
The section entitled “A BRIEF GUIDE TO BATTERY TYPES” also provides a wealth of
general information regarding battery types; this is also well worth reading.
Please BE SURE to read the instructions and the safety notes before you use the
charger for the first time.
It can be very dangerous to mishandle batteries and battery chargers, as this involves
a risk of batteries exploding and catching fire.

types of battery stated in these operating instructions. robbe Modellsport accepts no
liability of any kind if the charger is used for any purpose other than that stated.
We at robbe Modellsport are unable to ensure that you observe the instructions supplied
with the charger, and we have no control over the methods you employ for using, oper-
