Relay outputs
The analyser is equipped with 3 identical relay outputs. It is only through the programming in pro-
gramme steps 5.1 - 5.3 that they are accorded a specific function. In programme step 5.4, it is de-
termined whether the relay pulls in or drops out when this function is activated.
Via the INFO key, you can call up the current programming and switching states of the relays at any
time (see page 4).
Further information on the outputs can be found on page 8 in the section "Output functions".
When systems are connected to the outputs OUT1 - OUT3, 3 important connection variants must be
distinguished:
1.
Floating relay contacts
2.
Relay contacts allocated with internal voltage
3.
Relay contacts allocated with external voltage
1. Floating relay contacts
The systems that must be accessed with floating
switching contacts include e.g. programme mecha-
nisms for the regeneration of treatment plants, start
contact for central control valves with their own pro-
gramme controller barrels, PLC controls, stop-signal
contacts for osmosis plants and fault alarm systems.
2. Relay contacts allocated with inter-
nal voltage
The systems that can work with the
internal voltage of the analyser in-
clude all valves, signalling devices
etc. that operate with the same supply
voltage as the analyser.
Attention! When the analyser is
switched off, all the connected sys-
tems also become voltage-free.
3. Relay contacts allocated with external voltage
The systems that must work with an external supply
voltage include all valves, signalling devices etc.
that operate with a different supply voltage as the
analyser.
Example: Analyser 230 V 50 Hz together with a so-
lenoid valve 24 Volt direct voltage or 24 Volt alter-
nating voltage. Attention!
When the analyser is switched off, all the connected
systems are not separated from the external volt-
age.
