key. Press the key
function
"SERVICE".
After approx. 4 seconds the analyser switches into the Service setting 1. You
switch into the next service mode by pressing the
"

key:
Service setting 1: To switch the metering pump on and off
Service setting 2: To initiate a flush procedure and adjust the electronics
Service setting 3: Calibration with soft water

In this setting it is possible to switch the metering (dosing) pump on and off in order to pump indicator
into the measuring chamber. Further functions are not activated.
This procedure is necessary if air exists in the connecting hoses between the indicator bottle and the
measuring chamber. This means: always on commissioning and after the hoses are replaced. Owing
to the low delivery rate of the metering pump, this procedure takes approx. 120 seconds if the hoses
are empty.

N for No, in order to switch the pump
on or off.
Note:
On refilling the indicator after a display that the indicator is deficient, this procedure need not be initiated, since the instrument
stops the automatic analysis sequence in good time.

Remove the cap to the left of the swivel shutter (see illustration).
The potentiometer required for calibration is now accessible and can be actuated with
the help of a screwdriver.
ATTENTION! Replace the cap after calibration.

This calibration is carried out with water without a reagent, independent from the chosen reagent type.
The gain factor of the electronic system needs to be adjusted to the optical light conditions within the
measurement chamber.
The displayed value corresponds to the value of the blanc value during the analysis. That’s why it is
also alternative possible to correct this value during the display of the blanc value.
A calibration is necessary after electronic components in the control unit are replaced and after the
replacement of the transmitter or receiver sensor of the optical measuring section.
After cleaning the measuring section or the sensors, the setting should be checked and corrected if
necessary.
ATTENTION! This calibration must not be confused with the reagent specifically input of the correction
factors for the measurement value in program step no. 1.3 or in the following service step 3.
If, using the
"
"
key, you move the cursor under Y
Y
Y
Y for "Yes", the measuring chamber is first of all
rinsed (flushed) and filled with clear water. This procedure lasts about 20 seconds and can be re-
peated as often as desired by switching back temporarily to "No".
After this, a display appears in the range from 0-121%. Wait approx. 10 to 20 seconds until any air
bubbles in the measuring chamber have disappeared. With the help of the potentiometer in the termi-
nal box, adjust the display to a value between 95 % and 105 %.
Should this not prove possible, check if the measuring chamber has been filled with clear water.
Clean the sensors.
