It is possible to connect a recorder or a dot printer to the output RC 1 in order to
log the sequence of operations of the analyser. each function is allotted an ana-
logue value in the range from 0 to 20 mA. In the case of measuring instruments
with a 4 to 20 mA input, values in the range from 4 to 20 mA must be pro-
grammed. The following functions can be registered:
1. Analysis active (mains on)
4. Refill indicator
2. Analysis: soft water
5. Disturbance of the measurement (fault)
3. Analysis: hard water
Note: The different display values are selected with the "
?
" key and changed with
the "#" key.
Recorder output RC2 = water hardness
S t e p n o . : 8 . 2
0 m A = 0 p p m
2 0 m A = 2 0 p p m
#
To record the water hardness, it is possible to connect a recorder or a dot printer
to the output RC 2. The water hardness of the last analysis is continuously dis-
played.
The scale of the display value can be programmed. To this end, a current initial
value of 0 mA or 4 mA must be accorded to the hardness value of 0 degrees.
Furthermore, a hardness value must be accorded to the current final value of 20
mA.
Bear in mind the indicator type entered in programme step 1.1 and the associ-
ated measurement range (see also chapter "Recorder output RC 2" on page 9).
1. Define with the help of the "#" key the current initial value 0 mA or 4 mA –
e.g. 0 mA.
2. Press the "

"
key and enter with the help of the "#" and "
►
"
keys the corre-
sponding water hardness for the current final value 20 mA:
e.g. 20 ppm with indicator type HA 1,2.
ATTENTION!
Check the scale after you have changed the indicator type or the unit of water
hardness in programme steps 1.1 or 1.2.
If the measured value falls below (underruns) the limit, the lower limit of the
measurement range is displayed; if it exceeds (overruns) or in the event of a fault,
the upper limit is displayed.
