6  Slide encoder drive sprocket (I) onto the primary tube 

shaft 

DO NOT

 tighten the sprocket set screws yet

NOTE: 

If necessary, loosen the encoder bracket 

mounting screws (H) to allow installation of the driven 

sprocket and drive chain

7  Slide the driven sprocket (J) onto the encoder shaft 

DO NOT

 tighten the sprocket set screws yet

8  Install encoder chain (K) around the sprockets (I, J)

9  Tighten the encoder drive chain (L) by pulling the 

encoder bracket (M) forward and tightening the 

encoder mounting bracket screws (H)

10 Align encoder sprockets, so the chain runs straight 

Tighten the set screws in the sprockets 

(Figure 44)

•  Tighten set screw on drive sprocket (I) using a 

3/32in [2mm] Allen wrench (

DO NOT

 over tighten - 

5lb-in [056Nm]) Sprocket does not require a key

•  If removed, tighten #10-24 set screw on driven 

sprocket (J) using a 3/32in [2mm] Allen wrench
