INSTALLATION
The water and gas piping must be connected according to the diagram in the previous page.
The installation of valves in the gas and water pipes - as well as the connection with metal flexible pipes - is
recommended. Do not connect valves and rigid lines directly to the boiler. All pipes used must be “oxygen
barrier” approved and well insulated to prevent heat loss
es
.
WATER CONNECTIONS
ATTENTION
: prior to connect the boiler and not to invalidate the warranty, the whole heating system -
pipes, radiators, etc. - must be cleaned with specific pickling or descaling products to remove any
impurity that could cause product malfunctions.
Provide for a water treatment contained in the CH system - according to the regulations in force -
to preserve the boiler and the system and to prevent lime scale and deposits in the pipes.
Hot water circuit
Hot water connections are 15A “male” type (PT1/2”).
A pressure regulator must be installed if the water supply pressure exceeds 10bar. The minimum water supply
pressure to ensure normal operation is 0.6bar. If a secondary pump is needed to increase the pressure it must
be installed in a different room.
Prior to connect the DHW clean the pipes deeply and let the water flow to remove all the impurities. After
connection of the DHW system let water to flow through the boiler before the use. Provide for an appropriate
water treatment system to prevent lime scaling.
Heating circuit
Heating connections are 20A “male” type (PT3/4”).
Provide for the installation of an appropriate system to collect and drain water from the pressure relief valve to
prevent material and property damages.
The installation of de-aeration valves in the system is recommended.
Condensate drain
A high efficiency boiler produces a significant amount of acidic and non-drinking condensate during normal
operation. The appliance is equipped with a neutralizer siphon - the optional kit must be ordered separately (the
average life of the neutralizer is estimated in 5 years usage).
The siphon must be connected to a non-metal drain pipe (PVC, PVC-U, ABS, PVC-C or PP) with a negative
slope of at least 2.5°.
It is recommended to install the condensate pipe indoor to prevent freezing. When the condensate pipe is
installed outdoor, the diameter used must be
≥
32mm and an appropriate insulation is recommended.
Once the drain pipe has been connected, open the front panel and fill the siphon directly with water or pour
water into the exhaust pipe until it outflows from the pipe. Fill the siphon carefully to prevent exhaust gas to flow
out of the boiler during normal operation.
