Fuel gas pressure control
Check generator calibration
All thermal generators of the aiM range are tested and
calibrated before being packaged. For this reason it is It is
possible to find residual water from the tests by removing the
caps on unions.
Before starting to carry out any operation of adjustment of the
combustion regime, it is necessary to check the correct gas
pressure of the generator thermal.
To carry out the check it is necessary to connect a micro
pressure gauge at the sampling point and check the pressure
static, with the appliance switched off. This value should be
equal to 21 mbar for natural gas (G20) and at least 32 mbar
for LPG (G30 / G31). If the pressure values turn out to be
more high it is mandatory to install a pressure reducer.

To check the dynamic pressure it is necessary to force the
appliance at maximum combustion rate, following i steps
listed below:
•
Press the heating mode selection button until to AUTO.
•
Press the mode selection button again heating for about
7 seconds. The display will show message “Contr. stop
function On ”and the symbol
Note:
The symbol will remain visible on the display as long as the mode is
active “Function stop control”
•
Press the INFO button until the display indicates the power,
in percentage, at which the generator will work thermal.
•
Press the OK button and, by turning the central knob,
finally set the value shown on the display to 100% press
OK. At this point the boiler will operate at maximum power.
•
Check that the dynamic supply pressure of the combustible
gas does not drop below 18 mbar for gas natural (G20) and
below 28 mbar for LPG (G30 / G31).
•
Restore normal burner operation returning the percentage
to the initial value. Finally press the heating mode selection
button for about 7 seconds, until the message “Stop control
Off function “.
ATTENTION:
The working pressures of the appliance indicated herein chapter,
allow the heat generator to work at maximum its performance. Non-compliance
of pressures can cause problems generator operation and require more
maintenance frequent boiler.
ATTENTION:
the following operations must be performed
by specialized personnel or by Rinnai Authorized Service
Technicians and with instrumentation properly calibrated and
maintained. If done incorrectly, doing so could damage the
heat generator.
•
Place the combustion analyzer in the appropriate socket
located on the flue gas drain close to the heat generator.
•
Set the appliance to maximum power (see the chapter
“Checking the gas pressure fuel”).
•
Read the CO2 value and compare it with the one reported
in the table. If the measured value does not respect the
printout, act on the maximum adjustment screw on the
valve gas. Refer to the “Gas valve adjustment” chapter.
ATTENTION:
to decrease the CO2 content, the maximum must be reduced, for
to increase the CO2 content, the maximum must be increased.
•
Set the appliance to minimum power following the
procedure above for setting up the maximum power. Set
the percentage to the minimum.
•
Read the CO2 value and compare it with the one reported
in the table. To change the CO2 content it is necessary to
act on the minimum adjustment screw on the gas valve.
Refer to the “Gas valve adjustment” chapter.
ATTENTION:
To increase the CO2 content, the minimum must be increased,
to decrease the CO2 content, the minimum must be decreased.
•
Once the CO2 percentages have been checked, reset the
normal operation of the burner (see chapter “Checking the
fuel gas supply pressure”).
•
Close the flue gas sampling socket on the duct evacuation.
