Overheating
In the aiM 65 model the safety thermistor (switch bimetal) is
located above the delivery pipe of the heat exchanger.

For models aiM 85-115-150 M / S, the safety thermistor
(bimetal switch) is located on the front side (on the side user)
of the DUO heat exchanger.

The safety thermistor has the purpose of increasing the useful
life of the burner. preventing overheating of the same. The
activation temperature of the safety thermistor is 260 ° C.
NOTE: The component can be purchased at the RINNAI authorised services
as a spare. It can be reinstalled and reused if no sign of malfunction has been
detected that inhibits the correct operation of the appliance.
The
thermal fuse
is the other component of the system
boiler guard located on the heat exchanger. The fuse must
absolutely be replaced every time it comes into operation.
Its purpose is to guarantee perfect insulation of the front
part of the burner e prevent damage due to excessively
high temperatures. Her activation temperature is 318 ° C. If
the thermal fuse stops working, please contact the Service
Centers RINNAI. The thermal fuse can be purchased from
RINNAI authorised services.
In the aiM 65 model, the thermal fuse is located on the ISO
heat exchanger and is easily accessible. In the models aiM
85, aiM 115 and aiM 150, it is located in the part rear of the
heat exchanger and can be reached only by disassembling
the exchanger.

Fixing the heat exchanger
The aiM boiler has great structural advantages and a highly
heat exchanger fixing system developed and patented. The
system consists of three main components as illustrated
below.
Heat exchanger fixing system (Patented PT2014 / 15542)
•
The heat exchanger fixing plate is directly connected to the
exchanger.
•
The boiler chassis is positioned between the plate fixing the
heat exchanger and the fixing bar on the wall.
•
The fixing bar is the first component to be fixed and must
be hooked to the wall.
•
A sandwich structure is formed: exchanger heat exchanger
+ fixing plate of the exc boiler frame (not visible in
the previous figure) + bar wall fixing.
•
The wall fixing bar is the part that bears the weight of the
structure and is mounted on the wall or on the structure of
the boiler.
•
The reliability of the system has been tested and validated
by experimental tests on the operation of the plant.
•
Thanks to this innovative design it was possible to reduce
considerably the weight of the structure.
