DP-13 Descaling Pump
For EC Countries: Do not dispose of elec-
trical equipment with household waste!
According to the European Guideline 2012/
19/EU for Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment and its implementation into na-
tional legislation, electrical equipment that
is no longer usable must be collected separately and
disposed of in an environmentally correct manner.
10. Follow the descaling chemical instructions for final
recommissioning and rinsing of the system.
Storage
Make sure the pump is flushed to re-
move descaling chemicals. The descaling pump must
be kept dry and indoors or well covered if kept outdoors.
Wrap the hoses. Store the pump in a locked area that is
out of reach of children and people unfamiliar with des-
caling pumps. This pump can cause serious injury in the
hands of untrained users.
Maintenance Instructions
WARNING
The I-O-II switch should be O-OFF and pump un-
plugged before performing any maintenance.
Always wear safety glasses and other appropriate
protective equipment when performing any main-
tenance.
Cleaning
1. After each use, flush the pump, tank and hoses to
remove all descaling chemicals per the descaling
chemical instructions.
2. Use a damp, soft cloth to wipe off the exterior of the
pump. Do not submerge or hose down the exterior of
the pump. Do not allow water to enter motor or other
electrical components. Do not use solvents, abrasives
or other harsh cleaning agents.
Service And Repair
WARNING
Improper service or repair can make the machine
unsafe to operate.
Service and repair on the Descaling pump must be per-
formed by a RIDGID Authorized Independent Service
Center. Use only RIDGID service parts.

Disposal
Parts of these tools contain valuable materials and can
be recycled. There are companies that specialize in
recycling that may be found locally. Dispose of the com-
ponents in compliance with all applicable regulations.
