In this model a 12 x 12 dither matrix is used to convert 8-bit image data into
single-bit data. There are two kinds of dither matrices to allow for the fine and
coarse screen modes.
A uniform gray area of an original is scanned, and the pixel datum is set at
55. It then goes through the dithering process and the results (both for coarse
screen and fine screen) are shown above.
