Shutters

Each cartridge has two shutters. Toner will not
leave the cartridge until both shutters are open.

The first shutter opens when the cartridge is
installed in the machine. A projection on the
machine opens the shutter.

The second shutter is controlled by the toner
supply clutch.

Each cartridge has its own toner supply clutch.
