Replacing the
EEPROM
on the EGB - 1
When replacing the
EEPROM
on the Engine
Board, please check the following points:
If a near end alert for the fusing unit, paper
transfer roller unit, or PCDU is displayed, replace
them with new units before carrying out
EEPROM
replacement. Not doing so may cause image
quality problems or SC490.
If the Waste Toner Bottle is near full, replace it
with a new one. Not doing so may cause toner
overflow.
After replacing the
EEPROM
, check that there is
no image quality problem. If an image quality
problem occurs, do not try to fix it by putting the
old
EEPROM
back, but make adjustments so that
they are stored in the new
EEPROM
.
