CLEARING ORIGINAL MISFEEDS
Clearing Misfed Originals
When a misfeed occurs, the original misfeed display appears. The display
indicates the position that the misfeed occurred in and the unit or cover you
should open to remove the misfed originals.

Do not turn off the main switch when you remove misfed originals.

2 or more originals might be misfed. Remove all of them.
❐ When you set originals in the recirculating document handler, reset originals in
order after removing misfed originals. The originals are counted automatically,
and the copier starts copying from the originals that was misfed.

Open the original feed-out unit cover and remove misfed paper.

Lift the recirculating document handler. Push the release tab to the right
and lower the belt unit. Remove any misfed paper.

Arrange the misfed originals removed in order and place them on the
top of the original stack.
❐ The original transport path varies in the recirculating document handler depending
on the copy modes.
