When a misfeed occurs in the large capacity tray  

❐

This procedure is required only when the copier is equipped with the optional
large capacity tray.

Press the Down key. 

2

Open the LCT door and remove
misfed paper. 

❐

If you pull the large capacity tray first,
the misfed paper might be torn and
scraps of paper which could cause
more misfeeds might be left.

Pull the large capacity tray all the
way out. Remove misfed paper. 

❐

Pull out the tray slowly. If misfed pa-
per is caught in the feed-in unit in-
side the tray, it might be torn.

If you hear the sound of the paper
tearing while pulling out the tray, fol-
low step

 above.

Push in the paper tray until it
stops.
