Details About Each Misfeed Position

When the "A" indicator is lit   

The sticker inside the front door
has instructions on how to clear
misfeeds. 

❐

Do not pull out the paper tray first. If misfed paper is caught in the feed-in unit
inside the tray, it might be torn. You should open the front door first and push
lever "A" to open the paper guide. If you cannot find the misfed paper, pull out
the paper tray slowly.

❐

If you pull out the paper tray too quickly, misfed paper might be torn and you may
be unable to remove torn scraps of paper. When you pull the paper trays, you
might hear the sound of paper tearing.

❐

Make sure that there are no scraps of paper within the copier and the misfed
paper you remove is a full sheet of paper.

❐

If "A" misfeeds occur frequently, re-
move the top sheet and bottom sheet
of the paper stack when you load the
new paper. 

❐

If "A" (sometimes "B") misfeeds oc-
cur frequently, check if the front and
rear side guides and end plate in the
paper tray securely hold the paper
stack in the cases of the 1st, 2nd,
and 3rd tray. If they are loose, load
paper evenly and strongly press the
side guides and end plate against the
paper stack.
