COPYING ON VARIOUS KINDS OF PAPER
When you make copies on other kinds of paper, for example, on thin or
thick paper, or on other special occasion, check the following points:
Notes When You Load Special Paper
❐
To prevent paper from absorbing humidity or curling, load amount of special pa-
per you will use.
❐
Do not load curled paper. If you must use paper that is curled, flatten the paper.
Recommended Use Of Special Paper Tray Mode
❐
If you use a paper tray as a special paper tray, you can make the copier indicate
"Special" for the appropriate [Paper Tray Selector] key on the display using the
user tools (
☛
See page 116). This setting will help you to avoid copying on
special paper when you want to copy on plain paper.
❐
When you always use the Cover/Paper Designate function, you can designate the
cover, slip, or tab sheet tray with the user tools.
☛
See page 116.
