Settings for SMTP Authentication and POP
Authentication
This section explains all required settings for using SMTP Authentication and
POP Authentication.
• POP Authentication (POP before SMTP)
This function prevents others from connecting to the SMTP server inappro-
priately by connecting to the POP server to authenticate the user before e-mail
is sent.
• SMTP Authentication (PLAIN, LOGIN, CRAM-MD5

)
This function prevents others from connecting to the SMTP server inappro-
priately by requiring that the SMTP User Name and SMTP Password be en-
tered to authenticate the user when e-mail is sent.
