5.9.3 TDM Config - Port Settings
Use the TDM Port Configuration fields to select and edit port settings.
Step 1. Select a TDM Port
Use the drop-down menu to in the TDM Port Configuration field to select a TDM
port. Click the Config button to view the editing screen.

TDM Ports
: Select the TDM interface port to configure.
Config
: Click the Config button to view the Configure Port dialog screen.
Step 2. Edit Port Settings
Set the line characteristics for the selected TDM port. Selections will depend on the
selected line type.

Port ID
: Displays the selected interface port (from 1 to 8).
Coding
: Select the line coding type for this interface. Available options depend on
the interface line type.
The selections for T1 are:
AMI
: Select this setting for Alternate Mark Inversion coding.
B8ZS
: Encoding where a special code is substituted whenever eight consecutive
zeros are sent over the link.
The selections for E1 are:
AMI
: Select this setting for Alternate Mark Inversion coding.
HDB3
: Select this setting for High-Density Bipolar 3 coding.
Framing
: Select the type of framing the selected port. Available selections are
dependent on the interface line type.
