5.9.1 How to Use Apply and Save
Configuration of the TDM module is a multi-step process. There are separate
screens for configuring the general parameters, ports, and timeslots (bundles). To
avoid creating instability during changes to the configuration, it is recommended
to complete all editing steps before saving the changes.
The AN-30e provides an editing template where all changes are made to the TDM
configuration in an off-line mode. Changes to this template do not effect the
operation of the TDM module.
When TDM Config is selected in the main menu (left of screen) the AN-30e
creates an offline-editing template using a copy of the current TDM settings.
When any change is made to the general, port, or bundle settings, you must click
Apply to save these changes to the offline-editing template. If you exit a TDM
screen without clicking Apply, any changes made in that screen are discarded.
When you click Save at the bottom of the TDM General Configuration screen, all
settings in the offline-editing template are copied into permanent memory and
loaded as the running parameters for the TDM module.
