Hold the locking nut with the pipe key.
Turn the adjustment screw at the center clockwise to
increase the torque (the hoist capacity), counter-clockwise
to decrease the torque.
Note: Make sure not to over-tighten the adjustment screw,
since this can damage the springs of the torque limiter.
After the adjustment, lock the adjustment screw with the
locking nut by turning the pipe key counter-clockwise and
then remove the tools.
Turn on the power to the hoist.
1. Hook the original test load and check that it can be
lifted with both the slow and fast speed.
2. Hook a maximum load of 1.6 x the nominal capacity
of the hoist and test with slow speed that the load
remains on the floor.
If either one of the tests fails, modify the capacity of the
hoist according to instructions in steps 4 and 5.
When both tests succeed, proceed to step 7.

When the friction torque limiter has been adjusted, turn off
the power from the hoist and attach the cover.
