Replacing the Motherboard

1. Power the CubiScan 125 off.
2. Carefully remove the glass platform and place it in a
safe location.
3. Using the Phillips screwdriver, remove the 10 screws
holding the controller box lid in place and remove
the lid. See

4. Disconnect the following cables that are connecting
to the outside of the controller box.

Load cell summing cable
•
Depending on your connection choice, you may only
need to remove one (or none) of the following cables;
Ethernet, USB, or serial.
5. Disconnect the four ribbon cables that are attached
to the motherboard.
6. Disconnect all other cables where they attach to the
motherboard.
7. Remove the SD card and set it aside.
8. Using the Phillips screwdriver, remove the screw on
the front of the scale card.
9. Remove the screws, four total, located on each
corner of the motherboard.
10. Carefully remove the motherboard and turn it over.
11. Remove the screws on the bottom of the
motherboard. These are holding the scale card in
place. Discard the damaged motherboard.
12. Locate the replacement motherboard and screw the
scale card in place using the screws from steps 8 and
11.
13. Screw the motherboard into place using the screws
from step 9.
14. Reconnect the cables from steps 5 and 6. Refer to
if needed.
15. Reconnect the cables from step 4 that connect to the
outside of the controller.
