Connecting to E-Services
7.2
Automatic calls
To fully benefit from the convenience and power of E-Services, your Mailing System should
permanently be connected to a network connection so that it can link to the E-Services
Server automatically whenever required.
For the Reports service, the Mailing System automatically connects to the E-Services
Server after the end of each month to upload accounting and postal category statistics.
Your Mailing System automatically initiates the automated call for our Ink Management
Service when your Ink Cartridge reaches the low ink threshold.
It is strongly recommended that you leave the Mailing System turned
on, in sleep mode, and connected to a network during the night, to
allow the connection to the E-Services Server to occur automatically.
Manual Calls
Manual calls allow you to connect to the E-Services Server in order to retrieve new
information (update postage rates, slogan or messages) or to enable features and options
(weigh platform capacity, number of accounts, differential weighing, etc.).
You can initiate a call to the E-Services server from the user menu as well as from the
supervisor menu.
