Binding Target Devices Attached to the HBA Port Using the Fibre
Channel Port Configuration Dialog Box
NOTE:
■
This feature is not supported in Novell NetWare.
■
You can also use the General Configuration Wizard (
Target Persistent
Binding
dialog box)
(see section 7.2)
or the
Target Persistent Binding
tabbed page
(see section 7.8)
to bind devices attached to HBA ports. For
information about deleting persistent configuration data,
see section 7.9
.
Target persistent binding is done by associating a target ID with the world wide node
name and world wide port name of the target (targets can also be bound by port ID;
contact your authorized maintenance provider for more information). Persistent
binding information for targets is saved to persistent storage:
■
Registry (Windows 2000/Windows Server 2003)
■
/etc/modules.conf and /etc/qla2
x
00.conf files (Red Hat/SuSE Linux)
■
/kernel/drv/qla2x00.conf (Solaris SPARC)
